I have recently joined a tile forum (tilersforums.co.uk) and it makes for very interesting reading! This site is set up by people in the tile industry and contains a wealth of knowledge and experience. Its free to join too and any one can ask for tiling advice even if not connected to the industry. Following on from a customer comment regarding poor quality wall and floor tiles purchased from a large DIY chain I did a search on the forum on all the big DIY chains about the tiles they sell and the comments were not good. I suggest that if you are thinking about purchasing tiles please have a look on this forum before you part with your hard earned money as it very much appears that cheap tiles are cheap for a reason and cheap in quality resulting in a false economy. I would also be very wary of buying tile adhesive and grouts from these places too. Its all on this forum so have a look!

The showroom extension is finished! We are all very pleased with the end result and customer feedback has been fantastic. We have now decided to re-model 4 areas in the existing showroom. Underfloor heating has been installed in the kitchen tiles area and work starts next week on the next section.

Due to remodeling work at the the front of our showroom too, the extension has over run a little! It will be open from the end of February 2009. This area contains new ceramic and porcelain wall and floor tiles and is in keeping with the rest of our showroom with fully displayed product. A lot of areas in the existing showroom have been remodeled too. I have to say that the results so far are stunning and customer feedback is very positive.

According to the media its all doom and gloom due to the credit crunch. We are finding that our customers have had enough of the negativity and are being pro-active for when house prices come back up again by re-styling their bathrooms, kitchens etc.
